ក្នុងរបបខ្មែរក្រហម (១៩៧៥–១៩៧៩) ទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិសាធារណៈ និងឯកជនជាច្រើន រួមទាំងរថយន្តផង ត្រូវបានរឹបអូស បំផ្លាញ ឬបោះបង់ចោល ដោយសាររបបនេះចាត់ទុកថា ជាកម្មសិទ្ធិរបស់ក្រុមជនសក្តិភូមិ និងនាយទុនប្រតិកិរិយា។ ទីតាំងអង់តែនវិទ្យុជាតិទួលគោក គឺជាកន្លែងមួយដែលរថយន្តជាច្រើនត្រូវបានប្រមូលយកមកទុក និងបោះចោល។

ប្រភពឯកសារប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រ និងសក្ខីកម្មមួយចំនួនក៏បានបង្ហាញថា តំបន់នេះមានរណ្តៅសាកសពរួម ដែលឆ្លុះបញ្ចាំងពីសោកនាដកម្ម និងអំពើហិង្សាដែលបានកើតឡើងក្នុងសម័យនោះ។

During the Khmer Rouge regime (1975–1979), numerous public and private assets, including automobiles, were confiscated, destroyed, or abandoned because the regime regarded them as the property of feudal elites and reactionary capitalists. The Tuol Kork National Radio Antenna site was one of the locations where many vehicles were collected and discarded.

Historical documents and eyewitness testimonies also indicate that the area contained mass graves, reflecting the tragedy and violence that occurred during that period. These remnants stand as important historical evidence of one of the darkest chapters in Cambodia’s history and underscore the importance of preserving historical memory for future generations.
