កម្ពុជា ព្រះរាជាណាចក្រនៃវប្បធម៌ ប្រកបដោយទម្រង់សិល្បៈសម្បូណ៌បែប ជាងម្ភៃទម្រង់ មានល្ខោន របាំ និងតន្ត្រី ជាច្រើនប្រភេទ ដូចជា តន្រី្តប្រពៃណីបុរាណ វណ្ណកម្មបស្ចឹមប្រទេស សម័យ និងប្រជាប្រិយ ជាអាទិមានរាំវង់ រាំក្បាច់ សារ៉ាវ៉ាន់ ឡាំលាវ ចូកគំពឹស តាលុង កន្ទ្រឹម និងប្រឺន។ល។ ទម្រង់និងប្រភេទតន្ត្រីដែលបានរៀបរាប់ខាងលើនេះ គឺគេកំដរដោយវង់តន្ត្រីសម័យបស្ចឹមប្រទេស ឬវង់តន្ត្រីប្រជាប្រិយខ្មែរ។ គួរឱ្យចាប់អារម្មណ៍ គឺខ្មែរយើងមានវង់តន្ត្រីដ៏ពិសេសមួយវង់ទៀត ដែលទស្សនិកជនទូទៅមិនសូវបានឃើញនិងស្គាល់ ពោលគឺ «វង់តន្ត្រីស្គរដៃ ស្គរប៉ុ» ភូមិត្បែង ឃុំគូលែនថ្មី ស្រុកបន្ទាយស្រី ខេត្តសៀមរាប។
វង់តន្ត្រីស្គរដៃស្គរប៉ុ មានឧបករណ៍តន្ត្រី ស្គរដៃ១ ស្គរប៉ុ១ ស្គរភ្លោះ១គូ ទ្រសោតូច១ និងស្គរដី១ (ជាឧបករណ៍ផ្តល់សំឡេងបាស្ស គឺសំឡេងក្រោមឬទាបឱ្យដល់វង់តន្ត្រី)។ ខ្ញុំគួរធ្វើការកត់សម្គាល់ថា គេហៅឧបករណ៍តន្ត្រីនេះថា «ស្គរដី» គឺមិនមែនដោយសារឧបករណ៍ធ្វើពីដីនោះទេ តែដោយសារគេដាក់វានៅផ្ទាល់នឹងដីនៅពេលគេលេង។ ឧបករណ៍នេះមានប្រអប់សូរ ធ្វើពីធុងសាំងដែក ដោយចោះប្រហោងបញ្ចូលពីលើទៅក្រោមនូវដងធ្វើពីឈើធំមូលហើយវែង រួចមានខ្សែដែកលួសធំមួយ សម្រាប់ឱ្យអ្នកលេងវាយឬគោះដោយចំណិតឫស្សីចិតឱ្យតូច ដែលមានទំហំធំជាងគល់ចង្កឹះបន្តិច និងមានប្រវែងប្រមាណ ១ម៉ែត្រ (សូមមើលរូបភាព)។ ម្យ៉ាងវិញទៀត គេហៅឧបករណ៍នេះថា «ស្គរ» ដោយសារអ្នកលេងវាយដោយចំណិតឫស្សី គឺមិនមែនកេះវានោះទេ។
វង់តន្ត្រីស្គរដៃស្គរប៉ុ នៅភូមិត្បែង មានសមាជិក តន្ត្រីករតន្ត្រីការិនីចំនួន១៣នាក់ ដឹកនាំដោយលោកគ្រូ សៀន តាត់ នៅពេលដែលសម្តែងនៅភូមិគោកត្រាច ឃុំបាគង ស្រុកប្រាសាទបាគង ខេត្តសៀមរាប នៅពេលថ្មីៗកន្លងមកនេះ។ នៅក្នុងបទសម្ភាសន៍ជាមួយលោកគ្រូ គាត់មានប្រសាសន៍ថាក្រុមរបស់គាត់យកតម្លៃ ២០០ដុល្លារសហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកសម្រាប់ការសម្តែងម្តង។ ក្រុមនះ ភាគច្រើនគឺសម្តែងនៅក្នុងពិធីបុណ្យទានប្រពៃណី សាសនា និងឱកាសទទួលភ្ញៀវ និងកែកម្សាន្តផ្សេងៗដែលជាតម្រូវការនៅក្នុងភូមិស្រុកនិងខេត្តសៀមរាប។ គេក៏ទៅសម្តែងនៅទីជិតឆ្ងាយឯទៀតដែរ ទៅតាមតម្រូវការនិងចំណង់ចំណូលចិត្តរបស់អតិថិជន។

Skor Dai Skor Pok Music
Cambodia: Kingdom of Culture, as she is called, endows a rich culture of many art-forms, including theater, dance, and music—traditional, classical Western, modern, and popular—namely, roam vung, roam kbach, saravane, laim leav, chauk kampih, talung, kantrimm, breun, and so on. The aforementioned music is rendered by the modern Western popular or the popular Khmer bands. It is interesting for me to introduce the Skor Dai Skor Pok music that the general audience has seldom seen or heard. This sort of music and band is unique and perhaps indigenous to the Tbaeng village, New Koulen commune, Banteay Srey district, Siem Reap province.
The Skor Dai Skor Pok band consists of one hand-drum or goblet drum (skor dai), one set of drums, cymbal, and bamboo block (skor pok), one pair of twin drums (skor phuoh), one two-stringed fiddle (tror so tauch), and one skor dey, meaning “clay drum” giving the band its bass part. It should be noted that the term “dey” meaning “earth or clay,” having nothing to do with the materials used to make the instrument, is rather used with reference to the fact that this base-line instrument is placed directly on the ground when being played.
Skor dey, the bass instrument, has its resonator or sound-box made of empty gasoline container through which a hole is drilled to insert a large and long pole serving as a fingerboard. One metal string is secured alongside of the fingerboard against which the player strikes with a detached beater, a bamboo strip of approximately 1 meter long (see photograph). It is so-called “skor” because it is struck instead of plucked or bowed by the player, while “dey” referring to placing it directly on the ground. The Skor Dai Skor Pok of Tbaeng village, recently performing (February 27, 2022) at the Kok Trach village, Bakorng commune, Srokk Bakorng district, Siem Reap province, has 13 musicians and vocalists led by Mr. Sien Tatt. In an interview, Mr. Sien said that the Band charges US$200 for each performance. The band most of the time performs at the traditional or religious events in the locality where they call for musical entertainment. Mr. Sien and his band also travel outside of their locality to perform elsewhere as demanded. The band’s repertoire includes the Khmer oldies, namely, Champa Battambang, Champey Siem Reap, Having a Boat-ride along the River, Love of the Bali Island, and other popular Khmer songs and rhythms in vogue, such as roam vung, roam kbach, saravane, laim leav, kantrimm, and so on. A particularly interesting aspect of the band is the additional whistle-playing by the lead-vocalist interspersed between the rendered song-couplets that we do not usually see or hear in the city popular bands. The vocalists of the band often take part on the dance-floor with the guests as well.
